I wasn't expecting to eat there, but she mentioned there would be light snacks in the relaxation room. The woman at the desk showed us around this small, but nice spa. We were offered a glass of champagne during our long wait but it seemed a small token in comparison to the inconvenience. This was NOT a good start to the day and they didn't seem to really care all that much. We believe they under-staffed to begin with, staff didn't show up or someone more important was slotted in between our original appointments. Being told I was going to have to wait 4 hours to start my first treatment while the other two in our group would start shortly after arrival was not good. Upon arrival we were told our appointments were spread between 11 am and 4 pm.

One of the three of our group booked us for facials and massages for a birthday splurge. Set off the lovely Forsyth Park this spa has potential. My feeling is if you are going to treat yourself, treat yourself - and this is the place. After, a steam shower, glass of champagne, a relaxing visit again in the waiting area, and then (sadly) on to my day.
#POSEIDON SPA FULL#
Let's just say it was sublime - mini-facial and full massage with full-on aromatherapy. Lydia explained everything, went over likes and dislikes, and then the treatment. On to the beautiful treatment room (again with the dim lights which I love, soothing music, and insanely comfortable table). Robe, slippers and tour by Kathryn, a short seat in the waiting area (complete with cucumber water, dim lights, wonderful smells, small plates of healthy snacks, great magazines), and then Lydia came to introduce herself. This last time was for a massage/facial combo with Lydia, and let's just make it simple - she's the best in the city.
#POSEIDON SPA PROFESSIONAL#
Have been a number of times and every single time I walk away refreshed and rejuvenated, having enjoyed the full experience with accomplished and professional service. The Poseidon does it all, and does it as good as you are likely to get anywhere. Many who advertise as a spa are, simply, not. As a local, I can safely say I've been to every "spa" (and the airquotes are right) in Savannah.

Just wanted to let future guests know that because had my friend not asked the girl who checked us out, I would’ve assumed that the entire 22% went to Lydia. The spa charges a gratuity of 22%, but only 18% of that goes to the therapist, so I added a bit extra since she really deserved it. By Lydia asking me, I knew I could be honest with her, and the pressure was perfect! I cannot say enough great things about Lydia. I really appreciate that because I am one who sometimes is too afraid to speak up if the pressure is too weak or too strong, for fear of hurting the therapist’s feelings. My massage with Lydia was absolutely wonderful!!! She is so thoughtful & checks in with you periodically to make sure the pressure is okay. The area where you wait for your therapist was very comfortable. She was so pleasant & sweet!!! The lockers had hangers in them, as well as spa slippers & a wonderful bathrobe.

Katherine greeted us & guided us into the women’s locker room after completing the brief form. I added the hydration mask, but they offer a wide variety of add-ons. I had a 75 minute relaxation massage with Lydia.
